“Absolut” has been a name synonymous with the Christchurch Music scene since it’s inception in 1995. Since then it has gone through several personnel changes leading us into it’s current format which consists of Jo Hill & the original group leader, Lino Luafutu. Jo has been with Lino for 2 years & has performed in the public arena before that with the wonderful Mr Dean Waretini.
Lino has been singing professionally for 28 years in various duo’s & bands incl Raspberry Krush, Don’t Tell Mama & In The Pocket & has been performing lately at various venues such as The Glenbyre, The Casino, Richmond & Papanui WMC & various bars across the city.
Lino & Jo love singing to audiences wherever, whenever & their love of music shows through their performances consistently. Their song list consists of music from Abba, Neil Diamond, UB40, Eagles, Dolly & Kenny, Elton & Kiki Dee, Van Morrison,Robbie Williams, Lionel Richie, Blondie, The Pretenders & so on.
